Luminox micro-gas tubes

Every Luminox watch contains tiny, self-powered micro gas light tubes (borosilicate glass capsules), which are always lit. The capsules are located on the hands, hour markers, and, when necessary, on the bezels. These light tubes are safe for humans as well as the environment and are individually installed by hand into every watch.

Luminox Light Technology stands out for its ability to glow without an external light source. This unique quality separates Luminox Light Technology from Super-LumiNova®, a phosphorescent paint, and the most common alternative luminosity system. How long can a Luminox Light Tube stay bright?

Luminox Light Technology ensures constant visibility, regardless of light condition, for up to 25 years. For the first ten years, we guarantee that the intensity of the glow remains constant. From then on, the brightness emitted from the LLTs is subject to decrease due to the energy loss of the gas.

How Durable are LLT Capsules?

The tubes undergo a labor-intensive manufacturing process, with quality control being a dominant part of the production.
